Tai Chi

This class will cover the cultivation, manifestation and utilization of internal energy. It will specifically show how the practice of Tai Chi Chuan can accomplish those ends. Through demonstration and audience participation, the principles and methods of Tai Chi will be used to show how this ancient art can used for regaining ones health be it physical, mental or spiritual. Participants are asked to wear loose clothing and to expect to be barefoot, in stocking feet or shoes that are not used for street purposes. The class is drop-in. You do not have to attend each class in order to progress.

Zumba
Classes warm-up with ancient yogic techniques to unify body, mind and spirit. Then we ZUMBA® — an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance fitness-party that’s moving millions of people toward joy and health. Students come to class for many benefits including increased flexibility, heightened metabolism, healthy weight maintenance, spiritual awareness, relief from depression or insomnia, and overall increased vitality. Bring your inside sneakers!

Belly Dance

Belly dance is a wonderful low-impact exercise that can help you discover the strength, grace, and beauty of your body what ever your age, shape, or size.  The benefits of belly dance include body toning, increased flexibility, improved posture and weight loss, all while learning some fun dance moves! 

Class series are periodic – check back regularly for the latest session.

Wear workout or dance wear, something comfortable to move in, you are welcome to bring a hip scarf to accentuate the movements, but it isn’t necessary.
