We here at Yoga Soul want to serve our clients by providing a serene environment for strengthening the body and healing the soul.

Pilates contributes to that by educating us in body awareness.  There is an attention required which takes us into a new place in our daily lives by giving us that awareness of how we sit, stand and conduct ourselves through our daily routine.  Weak postural muscles are a result of working our extremities and not paying attention to our overall posture.

Pilates can benefit the average person, athletes, those with physical injuries, those in need of rehabilitation and all age groups!!

What We Offer

Mat Pilates or Pilates Fusion: teaches the fundamental floor exercises and principals of breathing, concentration and coordination.  Mat classes provide a low impact group setting to give an overall body workout. Mixed level classes are designed to build on the student’s knowledge of the Stott Pilates Principles as well as all Essential Level Pilates exercises. Focus on postural alignment, core strength, pelvic placement, shoulder girdle stability, stretching/lengthening of major muscle groups and bringing overall balance into the body. The pace of the class is slightly faster and intermediate and advanced exercises are introduced.  Click here to view a current drop in schedule.

Equipment (Private or Group): Reformer, Chair and Cadillac were invented by Joseph Pilates to bring the mat principals to a whole new level.  With the equipment, resistance is built into the exercises and utilizes hundreds of exercise variations.  The equipment also allows for modifications for all fitness levels from injury rehabilitation to the athlete trying to improve performance.  Click here to email us for more information about setting up a private session or joining a group equipment class.

 

We would love to work with you and bring you into our Pilates programming. The reformer, the main piece of equipment, can be used in private sessions or a group format. An Introductory Reformer Session package is required.
